Racing Resumes At Knoxville
It feels like it has been 12 months since Seth has raced with all the rain. Friday nights ASCS race at Granite City Illinois was washed out to make it three rain outs in a row. Seth and the team drove five hours only to have to turn straight around and go back to Knoxville for Iowa for Saturday nights race.
Saturday nights 360 races where also accompanied by the presecence of the World of Outlaws 410 event which made for an exciting night of racing. Seth was drawn in heat number two for his 360 heat. To say that the local racers were rusty was an understatement as the heat was filled with wrecks and cautions. Seth had made his way up to second place and was sitting pretty for a birth in the main event before the caution flag came out for the fourth time with just two laps to go. On an ensuing restart Seth’s car would not fire and he was left to sit their as the final laps were completed. After returning to the pits the team where dealing with fuel system issues that have been plauging the motor since Devils Bowl, but ultimately it was discovered that the team did not have enough fuel to complete the final laps.
The fifth place in the heat left Seth starting thirteenth in the B Main and with only four transferring Seth was left with a up hill battle. With a lack of setup preparation for the B Main due to the team scrambling to fix the fuel system issues Seth was left to scrap in the middle of the field and he ended up finishing the race in fourteenth. “It was a frustrating night I had a spot in the A locked up and I would have started at the front, It was a learning experience but it it looks like the fuel system issues are behind us so I am looking forward to Oklahoma on Friday”.
Seth and the team will be heading to Oklahoma on Friday night for a night of racing with the ASCS Sooner series. The team will pack up at the end of the race and then head straight to Little Rock Arkansas for what will hopefully be the resumption of the ASCS National Tour.
Stay tuned for more news lets hope the rain is behind us and we can get out there and race.
