Preperations Ramping Up For 2009 Season
The opening weekend for the 2009 ASCS National Tour is only a month away and preparations are getting into full swing for Seth Bergman and the rest of the team for the up and coming season.
The team has been working daily on putting the brand new sprint cars together and everything is now ready to go for next months first race at Devils Bowl Speedway in Mesquite Texas.
Steve and Terri Bergman will be the team owner operators of the number 23 Corridor Electric Sprint Car for the 2009 season. The team will be running a busy schedule competing on the ASCS Lucas Oil National Tour with Seth and the crew returning to Washington for feature events during the racing season when the schedule permits.
“I can’t wait to get down there its going to be incredible to run with these guys every night” stated Seth when I spoke to him over the weekend about the up and coming season.
Seth was victorious on the opening weekend of the ASCS Northwest season last year and also enjoyed wins in a local 360 sprint car race at Skagit Speedway as well as his maiden 410 win at Skagit with a dramatic last corner pass on Mitch Olson for victory.
While Seth was satisfied with the results from last year he knows that consistency night in night out will be key to success this year. Unfortunately the opening two nights of the ASCS Northwest Speedweek cost him from a top 3 points finish in last years ASCS Points race. “I missed the feature at Medford and then wrecked in my heat at Cottage Grove I know those two races cost me dearly last season. I learnt a lot from my mistakes last year and I know I will an even better driver this year.” Said Seth.
It is going to be a big step going up against the likes of Jason Johnson, Gary Wright, Wayne Johnson and Shane Stewart every weekend, but the team is confident that Seth can keep improving and be successful this season.
Historically Seth has kept improving with his results each season and now is the time for him to step up and show the rest of the country that the Pacific Northwest has some of the best sprint car drivers in the country.
