Sprint Car Season Starts At Mini Gold Cup

2008 is a big year for Seth Bergman

2008 is finally here and the new sprint car season starts for the Seth Bergman and the Seth Bergman Race team at the Mini Gold Cup. The event will be contested at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico California on March 7th and 8th.

After finishing fourth in the NSCS sprint car series in the Pacific Northwest during 2007 Seth Bergman is looking for a big year in 2008. After only one season the NSCS has now been disbanded and has now been taken over by the ASCS (American Sprint Car Series) to form the new ASCS North West region. The new ASCS season will commence on Memorial weekend on May 24th. The series will consist of fifteen races including Speed Week which will run from July 14th until July 19th.

After Seth’s rookie of the year season in 2006, the 2007 season did not meet the team expectations due to mechanical issues for the first three quarters of the race season. “I am not going to dwell on the things that happened last year. 2007 did not go the way I wanted to, but my focus this year is on winning races and I know that we have the car and the team to do it” said Seth”

The 2008 schedule for Seth will not only consist of the ASCS series but a number of 410 sprint car races as well. “I didn’t get the opportunity to run in many 410 races last year, as our engine was damaged. We have a new engine for this year, and a new 410 sprint car so I am really excited to roll it out at the Mini Gold Cup in March” said Seth. The Bergman team have decided, at this stage, to run in a number of 410 races at their local Skagit Speedway in, Burlington Washington, as part of the Skagit 410 series. The team will also run in a number of Golden State races as well as handful of events on the World of Outlaws tour.

It’s going to be an extremely busy year for everyone on the race team. Seth and his team have been working extremely had since the end of the 2007 season in preparing for the coming season. With hard work comes success and the entire team is looking forward to watching Seth get back into victory lane during 2008.
